On Daddy’s watch, Kate apparently did a cartwheel down the stairs of the back deck (well, just the last two). Either way, she got skinned up pretty bad, but according to Bruce, bounced back quickly. So, knowing that this week’s theme was “reflection,” I decided to take out my mirror and let her have a look at her “boo boo”. Poor thing.

As most of you know, Kate and I traveled to Charleston (Mt. Pleasant) last weekend to visit my sis, Angie (aka “G” for Aunt G). It really couldn’t have gone better. The weather was beautiful. Kate had a ball shopping and playing and relaxing with her aunt and her pups (Raleigh and Dixie). This was the first time Kate has seen the beach since she could walk and she was in love. Her favorite activity was collecting shells and exclaiming about dog and airplane sightings. Well, she was a little timid about the actual ocean, which was a suprise (per her love for it last year), but hopefully she’ll get over that real quick.
I feel so appreciative for Kate to have an aunt like “G.” It just means so much to have a family member call frequently wanting to know how your little girl is doing…what she’s up to and such. Thanks G for such a great time! We love you!
To top it off, one of Kate’s other favorite aunts, Lala (Leigh Ann, Bruce’s sister), happened to be in Charleston for Race Week as well. So, we actually got to see her at the beach a little too!
