The Disney Photographer’s pic of our whole group…
/a>
And Kate insisted that we also buy this one, from Disney, to put in the front of her autograph book (this was actually taken on 3rd day)…

I am looking back and editing these with such wonderful memories. Sad that it’s over but so grateful for the trip. Here was our first day…

{heading out from the polynesian}
Breakfast at Ohana. LOVED THIS kick-off to the trip. One of our big highlights…

{ps thanks for the ears lees!}

{lilo…i let the girls watch “lilo and stitch” on the plane to prep for this breakfast…they were so excited to see them after just seeing the movie for the first time}

{first encounter with mickey! huge! kate was so diligent with her autograph book. eve kept her distance mostly}

{ready.set…kate and i decided to make a pattern and skip a page after each autograph so we could insert the picture later}
Once we got into the park, we had a little park ticket snafu, so these are from waiting on Bruce to get our tickets straightened out…

{the girls loved studying the map-kate’s leis are left from the ohana breakfast…hawaiian themed}

{the girls got their “1st visit” buttons}

{notice kate’s mickey pin on her shirt…we had a slew of disney trading pins (that i found on ebay) that the girls loved trading with “cast members,” kate had just gotten this one}
First ride…”It’s a Small World,” of course. So special:

{kate being a good big sister before the “winnie the pooh” ride}

{a little too dark and loud for this one}
We loved having Nana with us! Her and Eve chilled whenever Eve couldn’t or didn’t want to do a ride…

{such a classic eve pose}

{the barnstormer…bruce waving up top}

{bottom left…kate is still unsure…this was her first time (of many to come) on a roller coaster}
The riders, post first coaster…

{classic kate face…proud of herself and happy but a little unsure}

{her smile got bigger, and dad’s too!}
My turn with my girl (ps disney will do this…let you skip to the front to ride with your child again if you have a small child waiting):

{waving at top}

{pure action…i’m a little afraid here/ kate’s getting the hang of it}

{me, mid-screen, it was the real deal!}

{kate was all in at this point!}

{yes, it did rain on the first day. we dealt with it just fine!}
The girls LOVED doing the Disney “pressed pennies”…

{watching a little skit with sis}
The parade happened even in the rain! Such a highlight of the day!

Heading out (the castle lights up all sorts of colors at night…super cool)…

Day ONE was unreal. Despite the rain, we had the time of our lives.

omg my favorite had to be the action shots of you on the roller coaster. LOVED it! pure joy. so cute that you guys all wore pink in that group shot. was that on purpose?? i still need to post our disney pictures from 2011!! that is how behind i am :-( looking at y’all pictures are bringing back so many memories for me…i want to go again!! we are planning to do it again the end of this year but also going to universal, etc. eve is such a little ham! she’s gotten so big and sassy and so much of her personality comes through these pictures. and kate so so big beyond her years. 1st grade next year! can’t even believe it.
These are all so great! Can’t wait to see more and you have to share tips, etc.
Love these pics all — girls look so stinkin’ gorgeous and grown up it kinda makes my head hurt. Gonna need that list of recs — going in fall –yikes!!
